Public globe explorer
The free explorer uses self-hosted CesiumJS 1.144.0 with its license notices intact. It does not use an Ion account, commercial terrain, private data services or the God’s Eye View application backend.
Natural Earth II is a static, idealized land-cover reference map, not current satellite imagery. The bundled map is low resolution (approximately 2048×1024 pixels for the whole world); zooming does not reveal streets, buildings or verified interiors. US state and listed-city view centers are approximate navigation aids, not address geocoding or boundaries.

The earthquake layer uses the USGS past-day GeoJSON feed, limited to 1,000 earthquake records. Magnitudes and locations can be revised. Feed generation time and event time are different, and delayed data does not become current when reloaded. Non-earthquake seismic events are excluded.

Environmental coverage is limited to Vermont reporting gauges, three New England coastal stations and nine New England reporting airports. Reports are fetched through fixed, bounded server routes; shared caching and provider reporting intervals add delay. Weather observations are not aircraft tracking; water levels are not flood depths or flood warnings. USGS and NOAA do not endorse BIGBROTHER.
Earth photography
The website hero shows Earth observed by NASA’s DSCOVR/EPIC on July 6, 2015, using a reprocessed color image. It is a real Earth observation, not an app screenshot, live feed or generated illustration.

Software and data are different
The development app builds on open-source software including God’s Eye View, OSIRIS and Cesium. Source-code licenses do not automatically cover third-party data, 3D models, images or API access.
BIGBROTHER-specific interface and integration work is distinct from those upstream projects; listing a component does not claim ownership of its code, data or network. The private research integration of the FLOCK repository uses published camera-location metadata, not access to Flock camera video. It is not included in this public explorer or offered here as a licensed camera network. No commercial redistribution package is available while component and data rights remain under review.
Data-provider terms, attribution, quotas, commercial rights and playback rules are reviewed separately. Noncommercial or unclear sources must be licensed, replaced or excluded from the paid distribution until cleared.

Agency observations
The environmental data expansion uses USGS water observations, NOAA CO-OPS water levels and NOAA Aviation Weather Center reports. Observation time, units and provisional status are retained. Public-domain status does not imply a service guarantee or agency endorsement.
